Zambales is one of the place-to-go when it comes to beautiful beaches, surfing spots and food trips. Last weekend, we went to San Felipe to check out the newly-opened Bali-inspired destination, Kwentong Dagat. It is also known as the first Vegan Beach resort in the quiet town of Sitio Liwliwa. It was surrounded by ash gray sand that turns almost white during the afternoon and alluring Agoho trees.

Enjoy the beach
The sand here is not white, not even off white. BUT hey! Don’t judge the book by its cover. What makes it unique? The ash gray sand was said to be mixed with lahar when Mt.Pinatubo erupted on 1991. Waves are so perfect for beach bumming and surfing activity. Very relaxing and calming. Of course! You can still swim and witness how the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline.
